Hammonds is a new practice, built on the foundations of years of experience.

Geoff Miles formed Hammonds in 2001. Prior to then, he spent over twenty years as a partner in a central London practice. During that time, he was responsible for advising a portfolio of clients from a wide range of commerce - owner managed businesses in property development and investment, information technology, importing, wholesaling and retail, and professional firms, as well as charities, associations and institutes, and individual taxpayers.

For the last thirteen years Geoff was also the practice finance partner and partnership secretary. Hammonds now provides a virtual finance director role to businesses that wish to outsource this function, freeing the owners to concentrate on working on the business and not just in it.

Geoff is a member of the Academy of Experts, and provides solicitors and others with forensic accounting and litigation support services.

Sandy Kinnear is a Chartered Accountant and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has more than twenty years experience as a senior tax partner in a central London practice.

His work has involved advising individuals and companies in all aspects of both compliance and planning for income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and corporation tax. He has considerable experience in negotiations with the Inland Revenue on contentious issues, and also provides litigation support on matters relating to share valuations or taxation.
